this is my absolute favourite variety of lettuce. It grows well, doesn't bolt in the heat and is soo buttery in texture. It's a must have in my garden
I started these from seed last year, they will readily germinate in the first year without cold stratification. A bit slow to get going as most perennials are but now in their second year they have taken off! So many beautiful purple blooms attracting bees. Wish they took the lawn daisies out of the "bee turf" mix and replaced it with this native perennial!
So great that West Coast Seeds is offering seeds for these more esoteric plants! Yay! How about gojuchang?
Oh, boy - shiso is so delicious and it is so hard to find, so delighted that West Coast Seeds offers me a chance to grow it myself! one it takes, my how it thrives! Yum!!!
