this is my absolute favourite variety of lettuce. It grows well, doesn't bolt in the heat and is soo buttery in texture. It's a must have in my garden
Started 4 seeds inside. 2 germinated, one unhealthy plant dampened off after transplanting. Planted two more seeds in same container, with no successful germination. Remainder of seeds went in to garden, directly in soil. Zero germination, very disappointed.

I started these from seed last year, they will readily germinate in the first year without cold stratification. A bit slow to get going as most perennials are but now in their second year they have taken off! So many beautiful purple blooms attracting bees. Wish they took the lawn daisies out of the "bee turf" mix and replaced it with this native perennial!
So great that West Coast Seeds is offering seeds for these more esoteric plants! Yay! How about gojuchang?
