Planted In The Garden Collection

char marv planted in garden collection

We're Char and Marv, self-taught urban gardeners from Toronto and the creators behind @plantedinthegarden. We believe in simple living, loving what you do, and doing it with love. Growing food has taught us that no matter where you live or how much space you have, you can grow more than you think. We're on a simple mission: to help as many people as possible grow their own food.

We curated this seed collection to prove that you don't need a lot of land to create a beautiful, bountiful garden. Each variety has been carefully selected for its performance in compact spaces, beginner-friendliness, and ability to produce impressive harvests. From space-saving varieties like Spacemaster Cucumber and Red Robin Tomato to stunning colourful picks like Purple Beauty Pepper and Chioggia Beets, this collection brings both productivity and beauty to your garden.

Our top tip? Start with what excites you most! Whether it's vibrant Rainbow Blend Carrots or flavour-packed Sungold Tomatoes, growing food you're excited about will keep you motivated and make the journey more rewarding. Pair your vegetables with companion flowers like Calendula and Nasturtiums to attract pollinators and create a thriving ecosystem, even in the smallest spaces.

Ready to dive deeper? Our book, The Compact Garden: A Beginner's Guide to Growing Vegetables in Small Spaces, offers step-by-step instructions for maximizing your harvest. Get your copy at https://geni.us/TheCompactGarden or find us @plantedinthegarden on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook!
