African Violet Seeds

The fun part about starting African Violet seeds is their inherent genetic variability. These traditional houseplants are selected for their finest attributes of colour, flower shape, foliage type, and plant size, and then cross pollinated. The seeds that result produce plants that share a few general traits, but may vary in colour from white to dark blue. Grow them out until flowering size and then select the best of the bunch - they can then be cloned by leaf cutting to produce identical "sister" plants.
