This zinnia is aptly named as it has a regal presence in the garden with tall, sturdy stems and large red flower heads. The plants are low maintenance, thrive in the heat of August and are a pollinator favourite.
Just seeded, but this flower is a reliable performer each year, so I can sing its praises for beauty and companion planting performance. Its delicate foliage flowers and mounding behavior are a delightful contrast to traditional marigold behavior. Interplanting with kale family crops reduces cabbage moth infestations.
High and fast germination rate, a bit slower than Strawberry Blonde which were germinating the day after sowing. I can't wait to behold these beauties in the garden! Will update with full review and photos later in the season. As always, high germination rate with West Coast Seeds.
