This was my second year growing this variety. +90% germination rate (started them inside under grow lights and on a heated pad) but had to be very patient; took a couple weeks longer to germinate and I almost gave up. I transplanted them into large containers and they did very well in full sun. Lots of delicious peppers. Great pickled, candied, baked as poppers, green hot sauce and cooked. Definitely buy again for 2027.

I am im zone 3. It is the end of September with all the golden colours. My asters are blossoming full force bringing so much joy to the decay. I only have one regret, I should have planted them in front of the house for everyone to see, not in my backyard :)))

I really appreciated being able to buy a large amount of seed to plant for 'grass' for our indoor cats. Most stores sell oat seed in packets the size of grocery store garden seed envelopes - far too small for my purposes. I was amazed at how quickly the shipment arrived.

I've been looking for a Romano-type bean that is less fibrous and Hilda is the winner! Very fast start--this is my second year growing Hilda and Hilda zooms to the top of the trellis and begins producing before other varieties. For this type of bean, the pods stay soft even when they are a bit past their prime. But this year, I podded some of the older beans that I'd missed and really enjoyed them as 'butter beans.' Hilda, you've won a place in this girl's garden for keeps!

My new favorite slender pole bean! They were a bit slow to start and I ended up reseeding some areas along their side of the trellis, but once they took hold, they never quit. Productive throughout a long season (still picking at the end of September) and very tender and tasty.

This is hands down the best pickler I’ve ever, ever planted. I bought them initially from a fundraiser and was so pleased with the quality that I’ve already reordered for next year. They grow into a perfect size and even the odd one I missed grew larger but did not yellow as some picklers do if they remain on the vine. They also have very small seeds with lots of flesh. The spines are very sharp till you wash them and the body and flesh is firm, perfect for pickling. They are a deep green colour and look very appetizing in the jars.

Love finding old corn that taste like the corn I grew up with.
