I didnāt think to check the āpacked for yearā date on the packet when I was doing my starts this year, and inadvertently used a pack produced for 2022. Every last seed that I planted germinated! They are healthy beautiful starts! I have been growing this basil every year since I got them and they have not failed me. Boy would I recommend this seed! Hmmm, there are still some seeds left (290 seeds originally in the packet) - do I dare try them again next year???
I really like this, although it does not look like the photo advertised. It is low pile, low maintenance, and takes hold well! This is year three with our bee turf and it is beautiful. There are lots of flowers for the bees and my son loves it. We donāt get a whole lot of sun here but itās done very well. Overall I do recommend bee turf if youāre looking for a low maintenance, nitrogen fixing turf that will outcompete moss/other shade loving seeds/weeds
Hi Leahcgu,
Thank you for your review!
Because Bee Turf is a diverse blend of grasses, clover, and wildflowers, it can vary in appearance depending on sun, soil, and growing conditions, so it wonāt always look exactly like the photos. Itās wonderful to hear itās performing well for you, especially in a lower light space.
Warmly,
West Coast Seeds
Sowed a bit late and they still grew wonderfully - didnāt bolt, germinated very well (about 90%), and produced consistent, round, good-sized radishes. Good flavour too - nice peppery kick!
Beautiful and easy to grow. Had a bountiful harvest but I was very diligent on manual pollination. Attracks the big bumble bees and ended up being the safe places where they took their naps. It was very nice to see a variety of pollinators with these ones. I believe I had a 100% germination rate, too! Didn't attack too many earwigs either!
