Crafted from durable, high-quality salvaged Western red cedar, the Home Base is ready to be stained, varnished, painted in the colour of your choice, or left to weather naturally. The Home Base includes 50 tubes and liners, providing a capacity for around 250 bees—enough to pollinate any small to medium-sized home orchard or garden.
In the Homebase the cardboard tubes are 5 7/8 inches the white paper liners are 6 inches.
The replaceable 0.010-inch thick white inner liners help reduce mite and fungal infestations inside the cardboard guard tubes. The guard tubes are reusable, but used liners should be replaced every year to maintain a clean and healthy colony.
A routed keyhole groove in the back allows for easy installation.
