I've been using these seeds for years now and I absolutely love these flowers. And I love how they reseed themselves. They are so easy, and turn out so stunning every year. A great low filler for planters and garden beds I've found.
Love broccoli but this does not do well here in Zone 2 with 72 frost free days. I hit the jackpot with gai lan. Started it inside and moved it outside to raised beds. Tasted great and when the tender part of the main stem is cut it grows side stems. I got 5 or 6 'harvests' from each plant, although the yield diminishes each time. It tolerates growing very densely so with a 4' x 4' space you can have 64 plants.
The bees were delivered very quickly after I orderd, but unfortunetly they were already hatched. I put them outside, but they weren't strong, and it was 2 weeks too early with cold and wet temperatures.
Have been using these for years, now have 7 of them. I do not use the tray insert or planters. I directly place either 6 cell trays or 4” pots directly in the unit and bottom water. Handles 24 x 4” pots. The LED version seems to work better than the standard lighting. I use these in conjunction with timers set for 16 hours on.
