June 15th, I seeded 11 seeds of this one as well as 3 seeds of the package of 5. It took a long time for them to sprout in the garden. To date I have 9 tiny plants. I do not know if some of these are from the 5 seed package or from the 25 seed package. I had given them extra good soil including dolomite as suggested.
Fantastic producer even in the poor soil of our garden. We have had a long, bountiful and delicious harvest.
These have been fantastic in a hot summer. We did two plantings, one in early April and one in June and the April planting is still producing in late July. They are incredibly sweet, even when they look to be well past their prime. I will grow these every year!
I haven't tried to grow my hummingbird feeders but they are working well and I am pleased with my purchase.
