From Soil to Soul Collection

Hi Gardeners! I’m so thrilled to share with you my personalized WCS seed collection, featuring my most loved veggie, herb and flower seeds. These are tried and true varieties that I purchase season after season for my Zone 3 Manitoba garden. I can confidently tell you that this selection of seeds will produce abundantly in your garden, even in a short growing season like me. 

So where to start with your seed shopping? It can totally be overwhelming at first, so I always start by outlining my goals. I ask myself what exactly I want from the garden; whether that be storage crops to eat throughout winter or ongoing fresh greens, weekly bouquets or extra herbs to share with neighbors. My goals change with each season, but starting here provides a strategy to follow. From there, I map out my garden so I know exactly how much room I have to grow. And lastly I create a calendar for succession planting, which means more seeds are always needed….it’s a healthy addiction, right?
