These are the most gorgeous flowers ever and they smell like a dream. Bit tricky to grow -- they need light to germinate and a cold period to develop height. They only bloom once but they last 6 weeks in the garden. I wish you'd get in more colors like the Ruby or Antique Rose or Vintage Brown. I would buy LOTS more if you got some variety.
I purchased 4x500g of the Alternate Lawn Blend to cover an area of about 3000 sqft. It's been about 3 months. There are some areas that are looking well covered but other sections that are still bare. We anticipated seeing more colorful flowers but the overall flower color is primarily white with the occaisonal yellow or blue flower mixed in.
First year growing alyssum and im sure glad I did! Started indoors and transplanted out. Its amazing to watch one little start turn into a giant living carpet of pink flowers.
Made an amazing companion to my pepper bed this year. The pollinators love it and so do I. Has been continuously flowering since May and its now almost August. Benefit from a quick trim when looking bloomed out and will quickly give you a new flush of flowers.
Would also be great in hanging baskets and annual displays.
