Welcome to Mafinga! We are Robart and Nitike, 5 teachers. We have 4 children and live in the heart of a friendly community.

Mafinga is a large town in southern Tanzania, and we live nearby but surrounded by nature. You are so very welcome here and will feel at home right away.

Our project is in its early stages. We have established a kindergarten serving the immediate community that includes children from all walks of life. We make sure to welcome children from vulnerable and low-income families and get and access education for their future. Meals are included for all the students. The school has grown rapidly and we continue to extend our vision as we have launched a second site in the rural countryside. One of our main goals is to raise awareness through education to help prevent the spread and to eradicate poverty.

The new site is within 3 hectares of land where we have planted tomatoes, potatoes, beans, peas, and soon avocado trees. We've recently added some farm animals too. This is a new permaculture project that will continue to expand.

We have had many volunteers from around the world visit to support our projects over the years, and we love hosting! We want to share skills, experience and learn from each other about the latest developments in sustainability. Please don't hesitate to contact us in case of any question, to know if we catch up with your plans.

We are currently assisting 75 children.

Teaching children about sustainability, health, and farming and supporting low-income children to access education, as in Tanzania school is not free. So we have a sliding scale to include children from low-income families.

Our intention is to use the food we grow in our meal program for the children, and sell excess to support the school.
