Seeds have sprouted and are growing
Zebrune worked very well for me in my raised bed in Calgary. I started them indoors at the end of January and harvested in July/August. They stored well in my basement in a cardboard box. I just used the last one in May. That's at least 8 months - longer than I expected! They were still perfectly good after that time, could have stored longer. No disease or mold, still tasty after long storage.
The internet told me that rosemary doesn't really like to sprout from seed, and most people propagate it by cuttings instead. So if you want to try to sprout rosemary, just plant the entire pack and you might get a handful of plants.
So, I did that - planted the whole packet even though I only wanted a handful of plants. But guess what? My packet had 80 seeds, and over 70 of them sprouted!!! And the packet was already over a year old. That's almost 90% germination for seeds that weren't even that fresh! Now I'm drowning in rosemary, and they look and smell great. Very healthy plants. They also tolerate being handled and separated very well. Thanks WCS!
