We are a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, pharmacists, recreational therapists, and other complementary team members, who work together to create a safe and supportive environment for patients.Β 

The Unit 11 team works collaboratively to assist patients in building skills to manage stress, regulate emotions, and handle challenging situations. These may include mindfulness practices, relaxation techniques, and problem-solving skills. By engaging in these activities and learning new skills, patients can build a toolkit to support their mental health and well-being both during their stay and after discharge.

Providing patients with the opportunity to engage in gardening initiatives, learn the basics of gardening, responsibility skills. This gardening program will provide patients with a sense of purpose, feeling a sense of community involvement. While also providing a therapeutic space that is visually pleasing for patients and staff members to enjoy.

Our unit has an outdoor space that is safe and accessible for patients. This outdoor oasis houses a variety of recreational activities such as basketball, gardening and lawn games!
