Donation to Food Banks Canada

100% of sales of the Dr. Bonnie Henry Pollinator Blend were donated to Food Banks Canada, the charity of Dr. Henry's choice. Donations were made to the region the seed packet was purchased in, assisting Canadians across the nation to find food security in a difficult time.

Food Banks Canada provides national leadership to relieve hunger today and prevent hunger tomorrow. Over 850,000 Canadians use regional Food Banks each month. Thirty four per cent of Canadians relying on food banks are children, even though they represent only nineteen per cent of the population.

Members from the team at West Coast Seeds and Food Banks Canada were proud to meet with Dr. Henry to provide a cheque valued at $225,000.

A multi-colour mix of beautiful cosmos flowers was selected in honour of Dr. Henry's bright and cheerful style, and includes vivid pink, yellow, orange, and snow-white blooms.

This blend attracts natural pollinators wherever they're grown, encouraging biodiversity and healthy natural plant development. Long-blooming flowers can last beyond the summer into early fall in favourable weather, and make attractive cut flower arrangements.

Cosmos Flower Pollinator Blend

An attention grabbing and pollinator-friendly cosmos flower seed blend that's best suited for spring planting.

Plant this pollinator blend to attracts bees, beetles, and other beneficial insects to the garden. Plants will love the biodiversity that cosmos flowers encourage.

Cosmos are easy to grow, drought tolerant, and suitable for xeriscaping, which reduces or eliminates the need for supplemental water from irrigation.
