The donated seeds to Old North public school garden initiative in London, Ontario, have been put to good use! A wide range of grades have been involved in various activities involving the preparation of the ground, the planting of the seeds and learning about the beneficial properties of the various plants. We have also added a sensory garden and raised garden beds in the primary years playground to start the learning and love of gardening early!

I hope to foster a love and connection to the environment, and understanding of our food system, and a more sustainable future for our children.

Gardening teaches valuable qualities, such as patience, hard work, adaptation, and the benefits of success and productivity. It brings communities together for a common goal and helps to nourish both the mind, body and spirit.
