Delicious salsa recipes are easy to make and nearly all the ingredients can be grown in the home garden.

15 cherry tomatoes or 3–4 tomatoes, diced
1-2 hot peppers, finely chopped, (optional, depending your preferred spiciness)
2-3 cloves garlic, minced or finely chopped (optional)
1 white or red onion, finely diced
1/2 cup cilantro (optional)
juice of 1 lime
salt & pepper to taste

Cut all ingredients according to your dream salsa's chunkiness–smoothness preference. If you prefer smooth, use a food processor to blitz all ingredients except the cilantro, which can be added after. Combine tomatoes, hot peppers, garlic, and onion in a bowl and stir. Add cilantro and juice of the lime. Stir in salt & pepper to taste.
