Great peat alternative

I love this as a replacement for peat. I potted all my plants in a mix of coir, vermicompost and perlite last year and had great results from all my plants.

Coco Coir Blocks - 5kg

Product Details

For generations, peat moss mined from peat bogs has been a popular soil amendment. Peat increases the water-retaining ability of soils, and acidifies as it does. The trouble is that the world's peat bogs store and filter around 10% of the Earth's fresh water, and they sequester carbon from the atmosphere. Beats Peat absorbs and retains more water than peat, it improves aeration and drainage, and it adds carboniferous organic matter to the soil. Plus it's pH neutral and will not acidify. A portion of every purchase goes to the World Wildlife Fund.

Quick Facts:
