Horseradish can be propagated by root cuttings or seeds. This perennial plant is easy to grow and hardy in Zones 2 to 9. It is a member of the Brassica family noted for the pungency of its spicy roots. Start indoors in the winter or direct sow from spring to early summer. Horseradish seeds have been hard to come by until recently.
