Altaglobe radish seeds are the standard open pollinated round red radish. They have incredibly good uniformity for an open pollinated variety, and their roots are large, deep cherry-red, smooth, and perfectly round. Dark-green tops are short and tidy for neat bunching. Altaglobe radish seeds have good disease resistance (to downy mildew and yellows) and the roots hold in the garden without becoming woody. As we say in the industry, they are “late to pith.”
Sow short rows of Altaglobe radish seeds every two or three weeks from early March to the first week in May, and you will have an unlimited supply of tasty, fresh radishes.
