Choose Kongo kohlrabi seeds for incredible hybrid uniformity and quality. The skin of Kongo is smooth like porcelain, and such a light green they’re almost white. Foliage on this variety is small and sparse which means less trimming at harvest time. We recommend planting short, successive rows of Kongo, as they grow with such uniformity. Staggered planting will lengthen the harvest window so that you’re not overwhelmed by them all coming at once. Kongo stays crisp, mild, and sweet even at larger sizes, but we feel the best time to harvest is right around 8cm (3″) in diameter. Kongo is an excellent, reliable kohlrabi that growers can depend on.
