One of the so-called Butterfly Gladioli, Gladiolus Laguna has the same tall stems of regular gladiolas, but flowers that are petite and distinctive. Greenish yellow petals are rimmed with vibrant purple, for a truly eye-catching effect. The abundant flowers are borne on 100cm (40″) tall stems, surrounded by sword shaped leaves. Plant the plump little corms at weekly intervals in spring, and enjoy flowers from June to September. Laguna has a truly tropical look, and makes outstanding cut flowers.
Plant 8-15cm (3-6″) deep and 10-15cm (4-6″) apart. Plant at intervals from as soon as you can work the soil in spring to mid May and enjoy a season-long harvest of flowers.
