A new variety from Europe that was bred specifically for harvest as edible baby salad greens. The leaves have a rich blue appearance, and the flavour is milder and less peppery than other nasturtiums. This colour combined with the roundish leaf shape and slightly bitter flavour, will add sensory appeal to salad mixes. Its red and orange flowers are also edible, but somewhat less showy than many of its cousins. More and more we think of nasturtiums as potential salad greens, but many of the traditional varieties are too spicy for a lot of people. Finally we have Blue Pepe nasturtium seeds to integrate into the vegetable garden. Nasturtiums also make very tasty micro-greens.
