Lunaria Seeds

Plant lunaria seed for the butterflies and the pretty purple flowers that give way to silvery seed pods for dry flower arrangements. Lunaria is an annual (sometimes biennial) that thrives in almost any conditions and self-seeds generously. For use in dried flower arranging, harvest the stalks when the pods are a golden brown. Hang to fully dry and then rub the outer shells off the pods to reveal the beautiful translucent seedpod. Lunaria is also known as Honesty or the Money Plant.

Bloom time: Spring to early summer. Distinctive seed pods develop by late summer.
