King Alfred daffodil bulbs produce what is probably the best known yellow trumpet style of all the Narcissus varieties. These daffodils have uniform colour across the whole flower, and flower to a uniform height of just over a foot tall. They look positively splendid in mass plantings, or in narrow bands down a driveway or garden path. Plant your daffodil bulbs as soon as you can in the fall. Bulbs with the so-called “double nose” (you’ll know it when you see it), produce the finest flowers. Try mixing in a little Bone Meal in around your fall planted bulbs. This will improve the phosphorus in the the soil and you’ll end up with fatter bulbs and generally healthier Narcissus plants. Our flower bulbs for fall planting ship in September through fall while supplies last.
