Widely known as Amaryllis bulbs, Hippeastrum is a large genus of plants native to Latin America. These are meant for fall planting and growing indoors only, and they can be timed to bloom over the holidays. The large, fleshy bulbs require very little in terms of containers or soil, and they can even be rooted directly into water. After blooming, the plant will continue to grow long, strap-like leaves, finally entering a dormant state at the end of summer. A new bloom will appear the following fall or winter. Blossom Peacock Amaryllis bulbs produce a huge show for very little effort from the gardener. Height to 45cm (18″). One bulb per package.
