These gorgeous, luxurious, fully-double tulips are extra late-blooming, so they appear in April and May after many others have finished up. Tulip Akebono has peony-like flowers that just seem to open and open atop 40cm (16") stems. The tall stems make them well suited for cut flowers, so that mid-spring colour can be brought indoors.
