Limonium sinuatum. The Statice Supreme Mixture was bred in France for their large inflorescence, uniform height, and strong stems. This lovely mix is outstanding for fresh cut flowers, and particularly nice for drying. Flowers appear in crimson red, pink, yellow, blue, white, and purple. Start Supreme Mixture statice seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost and transplant once nighttime temperatures are up around 10°C (50°F). Grow in full sun in any well drained soil. Tolerant of very dry soil, but keep watered in long periods of drought. Statice blooms from July to September on plants that grow 60cm (24") tall.

Sow seeds 5mm (1/4″) deep, and keep soil just moist, not wet. Thin to 40-45cm (16-18") apart.

Prior to transplanting, work the soil to a depth of 20cm (8") to improve drainage. If transplanting to a container, add a quantity of grit or perlite to achieve the same end. Remove any Statice plants after they have been killed by frost in order to avoid disease.
