Rhazes Organic romaine lettuce seeds are CERTIFIED ORGANIC! Rhazes is a dark red Little Gem type lettuce with merlot-coloured leaves, slow growth, and fine texture. Like little urns in the row, Rhazes has excellent flavour and demonstrates a strong tolerance to Sclerotina and high resistance to downy mildew. Its slow growth provides a longer window to harvest from a single sowing, which is a nice feature for market growers. The seeds are pelleted for precision planting, and are sold be seed count. Be sure to keep the seed bed amply moist, as pelleted seeds must not be allowed to dry out until after germination.
