CERTIFIED ORGANIC! Red Beauty organic Zinnias feature amazing, deep red, dahlia-like blooms up to 12cm (4½") across. The upright plants grow to 75cm (30") tall, with rigid stems that make them prime for use as cut flowers. They will stay fresh in a vase for over a week. These beautiful Zinnias are bred to have a very strong disease resistance. Keep them cut and they will continue to bloom from July to September, while other varieties become a little weak at the end of summer. This is an easy annual that can be direct sown in spring to provide a real burst of summer colour. They looks spectacular in mass plantings, but they'll work in larger containers as well.

How To Grow

There’s no mistaking the colour and stature of annual Zinnias.Follow this handy How to Grow Zinnias from seeds guide below and grow some colour in your garden this summer. Plant Zinnias seeds in average, well-drained garden soil, but dig in a generous amount of well-rotted manure the previous fall. Pinch off growing tips early in the season for bushier growth. Water regularly, keeping leaves as dry as possible. Deadhead regularly. Feed once in early spring, and again once flowering has begun.

Timing
Direct sow after last frost, in April and May on the coast. Zinnias don’t transplant well, but you can try starting some indoors in peat or coir pots 6-8 weeks before planting out. Maintain a soil temperature of 21-26°C (70-80°F). Seeds should germinate in 5-24 days.

Just cover Zinnia seeds, and aim for a final spacing of 25-30cm (10-12″) between plants.
