This tall and stately blend contains four varieties of flowering Alliums for late spring and early summer colour. The amazing flower heads are fragrant and excellent as cut flowers - and they're deer resistant for coastal gardeners. Hardy to Zone 4, these stunning flowers grow high atop stems 40-100cm (16-40") tall, with inflorescences that can measure 15cm (6") across. Allium Bubble Blend comes in a range of purples, mauves, and pinky whites. These perennial flowers can be grown in full sun to partial shade. Bulbs are easy to plant and easy to grow. Flower Bulbs are broken down into two very general groups – Fall planting bulbs benefit from sitting in cold soil. Spring planting bulbs do not require cold soil to trigger flowering. Fall planting bulbs can be planted any time between late September and January, but most gardeners plant fall bulbs in October and November, about the same time you would plant garlic. Fall planting bulbs will bloom the following spring and early summer. Spring planting bulbs should be sunk into the ground in March and April. They tend to bloom later in the spring, into mid-summer.
