About West Coast Seeds

Originally founded by Mary Ballon in 1983, West Coast Seeds was established to meet the growing needs of farmers and gardeners alike, seeking high-quality, untreated, organic seeds. Emerging as a pioneer in the gardening industry, West Coast Seeds was one of few companies to provide consumers with the freshest, fattest seeds available.

In 2014, The Diamonds (a fourth generation family based in British Columbia) acquired West Coast Seeds and continues to run the company as a family-owned and operated business. The core values of the company resonate deeply with the Diamond family, who are committed to uphold its well-established integrity..

"I think we need to become a nation of people who see themselves as farmers, as creators rather than consumers."

-Mary Ballon, Founder
