Ratibida, or Prairie Coneflower, is a wildflower native to many regions of North America. It is known and much loved for the extremely tall central “cone” of its flower, which is surrounded by bright red and yellow petals. The petals are somewhat variable, and can lean towards being more red or more yellow depending on the seed and growing conditions. Ratibida is useful in xeriscaping and is highly tolerant of heat and humidity.
