Darkness (Lolla Rossa type)

Replaces Revolution. The incredibly dense frilly leaves are green with deep, deep red edges. The stiff frills help to separate other leaves in salads as well as adding a lovely red colour. This variety should do well in low light conditions. Small leaves are perfect for garnishes. Matures in 31 days to full size. (open pollinated seeds)

The easiest to grow! Leaves from looseleaf lettuces can be picked as baby leaves each day for your salads if you plant them about 10cm (4") apart. Or, space 25cm (10") apart for full-sized leaves.
