This CERTIFIED ORGANIC variety is an upright, open, dark green, crisp leaf lettuce with frilly leaf margins. Jack Ice also has good resistance to tip burn and downy mildew. It provides a great green base for salad mixes. Matures in 55 days. (open pollinated seeds)
The easiest to grow! Leaves from looseleaf lettuces can be picked as baby leaves each day for your salads if you plant them about 10cm (4") apart. Or, space 25cm (10") apart for full-sized leaves.
