Lovely crisp leaves are tinged with a hint of bronze. The baby leaves are easy to pick for salads; or wait for the dense head for use like an iceberg lettuce. Big plants need extra fertility to show to their best. Matures in 55 days. (open pollinated seeds)
French Crisp Letuce: crisp like an iceber, these lettuces are never bitter in summer heat, have real flavour, and are easy to grow. They are als called Batavian lettuces and start out open but eventually form a compact head or bunch. Grow for heads or pick individual leaves for salad mixes.
