Easy Care Goundcover

This makes for great low-care lawnscape. A mixture of slow-growing open pollinated grasses and drought tolerant flowers gives you a multi-textured lawn that needs only monthly mowing and hardly any watering. Use as a lawn or in paths between beds. Plant from mid-May to mid-June, or mid-August to mid-September. Plant and establish as you would a lawn; mow at 5cm (2"). It will take less care in the second year. Contains fescues, ryegrass, clover, English daisies, white yarrow, baby blue eyes and white alyssum. 500g covers 70sq m (700sq.ft.) (open pollinated seeds)

Cover cropping is a part of every well managed sustainable garden or farm.  Cover crops are useful in weed suppression, are important in building soil structure and add nutritents and organic matter to soils.  Many of the cover crops we sell not only perform all those useful functions within your growing space but also serve to support beneficial insect populations and provide a secondary harvest of grain, if you choose to allow the crops to go to seed.
