Slow to bolt

Indeed, this is the spinach that lasts the longest. During a very, very hot spring this year, the Bloomsdale held out well but eventually bolted. The Tyee on the other hand lasted well into the season, still producing nice, tender leaves long after even some lettuces had bolted. The only reason I can\'t give it a 5/5 is the taste. Too mild and the texture seems \"paperish\" at times. Lacks the punch and crunch that you get with, for example, Bloomsdale. Good to grow alongside though as you can harvest much later.
