Russian Banana Fingerling Organic

Russian Banana Fingerling Organic

From the Baltic region comes this premier HEIRLOOM fingerling potato. Small, waxy, yellow tubers with yellow flesh and incredible flavour and firm texture. Baked, boiled or steamed, Russian Banana is a wonderful late season fingerling, maturing from our seed potato size in around 105 - 135 days. Try it in potato salad! Our seed potatoes are CERTIFIED ORGANIC, and grown right here in Coastal BC. They are smaller than other varieties, and hand picked and sorted, so they're a little more expensive, but worth every penny.

Moderately resistant to common scab. Moderately susceptible to verticillium wilt. Susceptible to late blight, leaf roll, PVX, and PVY.

These potatoes have so much flavour picked fresh from the garden. Delicious! I just ate my first small harvest yesterday and went and picked more today. (We could have eaten another batch yesterday, they were so good!) Super easy to grow, just plant and forget. They have grown huge in my garden (2\' tall and about 2\' wide) so I\'ve had to cut back some of the leaves because they\'re shading my lettuce and other veggies. I\'ll be growing these throughout the summer and so glad to have tried them!

Russian Banana Fingerling Seed Potatoes Make a Ton of Tasty Taters

I enjoyed digging up these cute little potatoes this year, and I was quite impressed with the yield overall. I've found that these taters taste great when boiled or baked. In soup they're divine. A word of warning and the reason why I did not give these otherwise great potatoes a perfect score: Give these guys plenty of room in your garden: a little more than a foot around each seed potato, because these potatoes spread far and wide!
