Peas

The green pea is a home garden specialty because peas really have the very best sweet flavour and nutrition when they are freshly picked. The days to maturity we state are from a March planting and are about twice as long as those listed in other catalogues because of our long cool spring. Summer planted peas mature much faster. In our rich soils and cool climate the peas that we trellis will also grow taller than listed elsewhere. (Family: Fabaceae)
