Kentucky Blue
Kentucky Blue Pole Bean seeds combine the great taste of Kentucky Wonder with the cool season hardiness of Blue Lake. Long, round 24cm (9") pods are dark-green and straight, and the plants bear over a long season. AAS Winner!

I grew these green pole beans up a 7-foot high mesh trellis that is eleven feet long. Sown May 28th, with a soil temperature of 59 F. Despite a cooler than typical summer these beans produced very well—10.5 pounds of 6-7 inch thick beans! They were thinned to about six inches between plants three weeks after sowing and climbed the trellis with very little help from me. Very good flavour; not quite as "beany" as other pole beans I've grown like green Romanos.
If I had a larger garden with more trellis space I would try two or three sowings about two weeks apart, from late May until late Jun, for multiple crops.
I would definitely grows this variety again.
Thanks to WCS for excellent seed quality that germinated very well under light row cover. .
