Windsor
Also known as Habas, Broad Bean, Faba bean, Horse bean, English bean, Windsor bean, Tick bean, Cold bean, and Silkworm bean. Broad Windsor has 36 to 48 inch plants that are upright and non-branching. The 5 to 8 inch long pods contain 5 to 7 seeds. The seeds are about the diameter of a quarter dollar coin and a little over twice as thick. Producing wonderfully large broad beans, Broad Windsor matures in 4-5 months when sown in spring. Plants grow 60cm-1m(3-4 inches) tall. The light green pods contain 6-7 large pale green seeds which shell easily. Wonderful for family gardens and children.
