Nyjer Seed

Wild birds in the finch family will go out of their way for nyjer. It is attractive to goldfinches, purple finches, and house finches, among many others. Nyjer is the name given to seeds of Guizotia abyssinica, a shrubby herb that is native to Ethiopia. Our nyjer seeds are heat sterilized, so they will not sprout in your garden. With finches around, none of it will go uneaten.
