Cedar Bat Box
The Little Brown Bat (Myotis lucifugus) is the most abundant bat species in North America, and very common in British Columbia. These little night fliers can eat as many as 1,000 mosquitoes each hour during the summer. Bat boxes encourage these bats to pair and mate at the end of summer, to hibernate over winter, and emerge with a new family in the spring. Plus small amounts of bat guano will accumulate beneath the boxes, which can then be added as a super-rich source of Nitrogen to soil mixes. This solid cedar bat box is built to Audubon's specifications and can accommodate up to 20 bats. 30x12x45cm.
