Celery and Celeriac
Celery has a unique place in the kitchen. It is flavourful, yet has so few calories. On the Coast, consider growing for picking in fall and early winter. Celery is a vegetable with a few more demands than some, but it can be grown organically right in your garden. Celeriac is easier, and does not require the same level of attention.
Celeriac
Brilliant celeriac is easy to grow and harvest. The big white root has few markings and grows vigorously. Flavour hovers between a mild celery and parsley and it has the consistency of a potato. Makes a fantastic purée! Nice in soups.

Tall Utah 52 70
An early and disease resistant celery that's slow to bolt, Utah 52-70 replaces Ventura. Utah 52-70 is a tall, medium green celery with long, thick stalks that are sweet and smooth in the kitchen. It holds its form and colour in the field well.

Victoria
A bolt-resistant, upright plant with crisp, juicy, tasty stalks that are an appealing apple-green colour with white at the base. This hybrid grows where other varieties sometimes fail. Early maturing and able to keep its colour and flavour even after cooking. A great celery for Coastal gardens.
