Early maturing with medium green, firm, button-like sprouts that are evenly spaced and well formed. Don't transplant until late April, and then harvest masses of tasty sprouts from late August through September. Gustus replaces Oliver.

CERTIFIED ORGANIC! A medium-late, high yielding variety with vigorous growth to around 80cm (32") tall. The sprouts are dark green, firm, smooth, and uniform from the top to bottom on the stem. Igor stands up really well against frost, so the harvest period is extended from November to the end fo January from May/June plantings.

Red Ball

Red Ball Winter Gardening Full Sun Suitable for Microgreens

Red Ball is a specialized novelty variety of Brussel Sprouts with red foliage and red sprouts with colour that improves in cold weather and after frost. Yields on this 1m (36") variety are a bit lower, but the dark red sprouts are said to be sweeter and more nutritious. Harvested from November to January here on the Coast, Red Bull looks stunning when cooked, and makes an interesting gourmet side dish.

Roodnerf

Roodnerf Winter Gardening Full Sun Suitable for Microgreens

Many hybrid Brussels sprouts are available, but Roodnerf is one of the few open pollinated cultivars left, so not only does it produce cold hardy, productive plants, but you can save your seeds from year to year. Roodnerf was bred in England for reliable and uniform cold hardiness. The medium-tall plants yield generous stalks of plump green sprouts. Choose Roodnerf open pollinated Brussels sprouts if you are enthusiastic about saving seeds!
