This cauliflower has the very best wrapper leaves and the most solid heads of any we have grown. The unique wrappers actually twist above the curds to give excellent protection from sun. When spaced 90 x 40cm (36 x 16") apart the heads can get up to 1.8-2.2kg (4-5lb); closer spacing will give 0.7-0.9kg (11/2-2lb) heads. This reliable plant delivers a fine flavour. Matures in 60 days. Our earliest cauliflower, these vigorous plants produce dense, medium-sized curds. Wrapper leaves develop in semi-open formation, meaning timely harvest is important for the highest quality curds. This variety holds its colour very well compared with other varieties of its class. However it does not wrap as well as others, so best used for first spring planting. Matures in 50 days.
