Turnips
In use since the Greek and Roman empires, these small white round roots have a unique taste and thin skin. Grow them like large radishes, but don't forget that you can eat the greens - they are very nutritious and high in calcium.
Hakurei
Gourmet turnips so smooth and pretty and with tidy tops too! Roots and smooth, dark green leaves are best used in salads! Japanese breeding produces uniform, globe-shaped roots with snow-white skin and a crisp texture. Grow short rows frequently so the fresh roots and tops are available to you from spring to fall.

Purple Top White Globe
CERTIFIED ORGANIC! Roots are smooth and nearly round. Bright purple on top and creamy white in the lower portion. They are mild flavoured and sweet. Can reach 13cm (5") in diameter but are better for eating when picked at 5-8cm (2-3").

Tokyo Cross
Pretty little all white roots are usually harvested at about 5cm (2") for salads or steamed and eaten with butter. The flavour has just the smallest bit of "bite." The leaves are delicious steamed like spinach. Quick and easy to grow.
