Tomato Seeds
You say Tomato, I'll say Tomato!
Home-grown heirloom tomatoes are a thing of beauty. There is probably no simpler way of demonstrating the joy of gardening than by presenting home-grown and store-bought tomatoes side by side. Organic tomatoes grown with care have superior colour, size, texture, sweetness, aroma and of course, flavour. The seeds and plants are easy to grow so even new gardeners can expect a good harvest.
By growing several varieties of tomatoes, the home or market gardener can expect diversity and abundance from early summer to cool fall temperatures. It’s worth being prepared for the sudden bounty of ripe tomatoes in mid-late summer here on the Coast.
Amish Paste
These lovely, firm, Heirloom tomatoes can be up to 227g (8oz) each in small clusters on a vine unlike most paste or sauce varieties. Deep red, slightly pointed fruits are perfect for salads and sandwiches because they're not too juicy. They make thick sauces as well.
Vine (indeterminate), Matures 70-75 days. (open pollinated seeds)

Early Cascade
Early Cascade produces super abundant yields from early summer to the first frost. Fruits are bright red, full of flavour, and of medium size to 110g (4 oz.) each. Perfect for salads and sandwiches, but versatile enough for home processing and canning. Early Cascade tomatoes also have a very good disease resistance package. Specially bred for cooler climates, and gardening west of the Cascade mountains.
NOTE: Early Cascade OP has been "de-hybridized" from the popular hybrid variety that is no longer being produced. The process of de-hybridization picks the best genetic traits over several generations to produce an open pollinated offspring. This OP variety has better flavour and thinner skins than the hybrid did, but has a slightly different shape and does not keep as well. It's a very fine tomato!
